6.4.2.4 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS |
|
|
|
Surface Preparation |
All surfaces should be clean and free from all
contaminants such as oil and grease. Joist covered with ice, water, saw dust, snow, mud or other
foreign materials should be cleaned prior to application. |
|
Installation |
Place adhesive cartridge into standard one quart
dispenser, then cut the tip of cartridge nozzle at a slant to desired bead diameter.
Puncture inner seal with nail or wire and apply adhesive in a continuous bead.
Press surfaces firmly together.
Apply only as much CA3400 Subfloor
Adhesive as can be covered within 20 minutes, and use a 1/4" zig zag bead when laminating
underlayment to joists. For best results, adhesive should be kept at room temperature for
24 hours prior to use when temperatures are below 40°F, for easier extrusion from the tube.
When installing CA3400 for glued APA floor systems,
apply per the American Plywood Association specifications. |
|
Cleaning |
Tools and excess adhesive should be cleaned with mineral spirits. |
